Dear Sponsor,

My name is Eliyas and I am 18 years old and in Grade 11. Thank you for sponsoring me. I love to play soccer and watch movies, and I am a good student. I like math, and I really want to be an engineer someday. I have more friends now. It is very good that more children can come in off the streets to a safe and fun place like this to live. New Hope is my family now. I love the sponsorship program for it is making all of this possible for me and my brother. I love getting cards and letters from my sponsors! Sponsorship Weekend is always one of our favorite times.

My mother and her baby died in childbirth, and my father had been raising my older brother, Waqjira and me, since then.  My daddy is dying of HIV/AIDS. He had been praying that the Lord would find a good place for his boys to grow up before he died, when we got the good news that we would be going to New Hope Center. We were taken into the orphanage in October of 2012 and I love it. I miss my daddy but I am so happy to be here. He comes to visit us once a month if he is feeling well.

Please keep all of us in your prayers. Pray for my education and for the orphanage to grow so more children like me find new hope for their lives. Please pray for my daddy, Bayisa. I love you very much and hope you can come to Ethiopia so I can meet you some day!
