Hachalu is 19 years old and in Grade 12. He is very loving and kind. He loves to sing in the choir, play futbol (soccer), and go for walks.

Hachalu is from a very poor family and both his parents died when he was only 3 years old. He became a shepherd boy for a neighbor who gave him hand-me-downs so he would not be unclothed. Because he had no food to eat, the teachers would feed him when he came to New Hope School with an empty stomach.

Hachalu tells us because of New Hope and Tomorrow Come Foundation, he feels safe and is not hungry all of the time. He would like his Sponsors to know he has 3 sisters and 2 brothers who are all personal servants in a city called Inch’ni.
