Kiya started her 3rd year in Business Management at EAC-Ethiopian Adventist College - January 2023. Kiya is very smart and speaks English well. She often helped interpret for teams who came to visit at New Hope. She is very loving and kind and is grateful to Tomorrow Come for the opportunity to attend college.

Before coming to New Hope Orphanage, Kiya had a difficult life. Kiya’s aunt took her in when she was very young because her father had killed Kiya's mother. Kiya grew up thinking her cousin, Chaltu, was her sister, and was very upset when she discovered they were only cousins. Their grandmother was very poor and put them on the list for New Hope.
